The Indian Navy invites application unmarried male and female candidates for aviation branch. You can apply to join as a pilot or as an observer. Pilots as you know are the ones who fly the aircrafts and the observers are the airborne tacticians. Both are entitled for Flying pay. The nature of duty however is totally different. The observers are the actual people who involve in the air borne operations like firing Anti Submarine Rockets, using Electronic Warfare systems, etc. However the nature of job of a pilot is purely restricted to flying. And the Observers are no way involved in flying.
Eligibility by Gender:
Unmarried male and female candidates.
- Pilot – Men
- Observer – Men & Women
- Age: 19 to 24 years, born between 02 January 1990 and 01 Jan 1995, both dates inclusive.
Note for CPL Holders, 19 to 25 years, born between 02 Jan 1989 and 01 Jan 1995; both dates inclusive
Also, the candidates who have failed PABT in earlier attempts are not eligible to apply.
- A bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum 70% marks with physics and mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 of Education.
- For CPL Holders, A bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks with physics and mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 of Education.
