Ramprasad.R July 4, 2012 at 4:11 am

Sir, What question can we expect from Indian navy campus selection interview.

Uday Kumar July 4, 2012 at 2:22 pm

Dear Ramprasad, the campus selection is only to select candidates for SSB. Getting selected in the campus selection does not mean getting selected to join the service. And this is relatively a very new approach to attract young talents right from the college. Apart from the verbal and non-vrbal, group discussion the test is not of some specific standards. If you are above average then you will be in.

Ramsheed Hameed July 7, 2012 at 1:07 pm

Can we take mobile phones with us?

uday July 9, 2012 at 10:19 pm

Yes you can take. But not while the tests are being conducted.

Gud Afternoon Sir,
I want to know that is there any difference in the FSB of COAST GUARD than ARMY/NAVY/AIRFORCE. Since there is no special entry for girls so what about the final merit list?

Gurjeet singh July 15, 2012 at 8:09 am

sir what is the diff b/w about CDS exam and NDA exam

uday July 17, 2012 at 10:15 pm

Gurjeet, CDS is combined defence services exam conducted for graduates to join the armed forces(army, navy and air force). On selection they undergo training for 1.5 years before getting commission.

NDA is national defence academy exam conducted for 12th pass students to pursue graduation for 3 yrs at the prestigious national defence academy. On selection they undergo training (graduation and service subjects) for 4 years before they get their commission.

uday August 1, 2012 at 11:30 pm

Krishna Kishore, generally you will not be asked much about your Academics in the personal interview. But in case you are asked, it will be very basic and general. No hi-fi formula or writing code/program will be asked.

Radhesh September 3, 2012 at 5:48 pm

Recently in Naval Campus Selection Team there was only a gd, in grp of 20 members, i was second chest.. the topic was “Keeping poverty in view.. Should India explore more n more in space, since its in developing country” before this every body have to tell in 1 minut there intro and something on topic. I told in favour that yes india is a peninsular country so to avoid floods like tsunami , and for education also we need space satellites and to get details of venus and mars, moon etc.. .but in gd i while other were saying that no poverty is improtant,, i told only one sentence tht main cause of poverty in indian is the people of india itself.. that too some one listens and some did not.. results are next month,,, dont know.. one or two guy talked to much.. but about rockets fuel. speed budget etc… I could not put my further strong points in gd because no body listend me.. comment on my performance

uday September 4, 2012 at 6:54 pm

Redhesh, it is very difficult for me to comment on your performance based on very few inputs and with out actually seeing it on scene it is very difficult. I hope you did well and will be called for an SSB

sahil deep singh gill February 19, 2013 at 11:28 am

sir i recently went to Allahabad for my UES-22(PFY) SSB.I think i done very well in GTO’s Tasks and in my Psych tests also.i have done my coaching from a academy.Sir i was not recommended.pls let me know my faults.

Srikant Patnaik July 2, 2013 at 10:55 am

At the SSBs they test the candidates through three independent and parallel methords, all aiming to evaluate the same personality qualities the candidate has displayed. An academy can not coach you on your personality because the coaching staff would be answering from their perspective and not yours.Either you did not DISPLAY the personality qualities you have or you do not have them in you. Selections is done on the APTITUDE of an individual candidate. You can try again to display the personality you are (by more participation in Group activities/solving more psych tests and answering the simple questions that are put to you by the Interviewer. Do not try to be someone you are not. Be totally natural and spontaneous. Remember! You are being tested to be a first class gazetted officer and your General Awareness should be to that caliber. You are going to lead men at WAR. So you should have an allround personality who is Intelligent, sociable, has initiative,Courage and Stamina, both physical and mental,TRY againwith these tips.

arijit February 20, 2013 at 12:01 am

Sir i have gap in my education and also i have changed my stream twice is there a problem with it and how should i tackle the questions regarding them?

Srikant Patnaik July 2, 2013 at 11:01 am

There is no problem . You have done what you felt was necessary for you. Do not try to hide facts. You have done no crime.

when the ssc interview will be held

dhandapani April 4, 2013 at 8:32 am

dear sir, i already attend 4 times(2 times conference out) in various ssb in my college days , after that i got job in private sector…i didnt attend any ssb in last 3 years..i last my previous ssb details also…now wat ve to do to apply again…am i fresher or repeater?….

Srikant Patnaik July 2, 2013 at 11:06 am

You are a Repeater. But there is absolutely no harm in saying so as they have the records. I know of candidates who have been Conf out 4 times and recommended on their 5th attempt that is when they could DISPLAY the qualities they had but were not revealing it for whatever reason best known to them.

Srikant Patnaik July 2, 2013 at 11:10 am

What your heart tells you is the right answer. This Q is purely yours and can not be prompted. It is similar to a Q like What is your father’s name?

Anil June 3, 2013 at 11:11 pm

Sir, now i’m serving in army as OR Rank , i’m applying to ACC but my english too weak what can i do .?

Srikant Patnaik July 2, 2013 at 11:14 am

Your English is better than nearly 100 crore people. You are not being examined for the post of professor english. SSBs would see your officer Like qualities. All the same talk English, Sleep English,Work English,Read English …and improve.

Manoj Chauhan September 12, 2014 at 1:21 am

Dear Sir,
I am a repeater(10times), I am preparingfor the personal interview part now,  as per my introspection my GTO and Psychological test are ok..  I need to focus more on my Interview part.. I had a question regarding my hobbies part..  I have hobbies like trekking,  swimming,  reading books and singing but as I am working in private sector that too in a project dept I don’t get more time to spare time for my hobbies like swimming and reading and trekking is twice or once in a year affair. As far as  singing is concerned I am a bathroom singer,  I sing for my Friends,  I record my songs and send to my dear ones on special occasions, I am not a trained singer I just sing because I like..  So my question to is how do i mention my hobbies in PIQ,  shall I mention all of them which I have mentioned before!!?  And what questions will be asked on my hobbies part…
If you can spare sometime for answering then I will be thankful to you..
