CLEAR PILOT APTITUDE TEST HANDS DOWN

HOW TO CLEAR PABT

(PILOT APTITUDE AND BATTERY TEST)

IT IS WORTH FLYING ONE OF THESE...

IT IS WORTH FLYING ONE OF THESE...

Aptitude test is a test to find out whether a person is fit to carry on a particular job or not.

We can also call it a test of suitability for work. It is a test to determine whether somebody is likely to be able to develop the skills required for a specific kind of work or not. The PABT is conducted in three SSB centers only. Mysore and Varanasi are the places where these tests are being conducted. It is the air force selection board that selects the candidates whether they are eligible to fly or not. The AFSB selects the candidates for navy and army pilots also. The PABT comprises of two different tests.

Ø INSTRUMENTATION BATTERY TEST

Ø APTITUDE TEST

INSTRUMENTATION TEST:

The instrumentation test is a test for your imagination. A model aircraft will be shown and parameters like elevation, altitude, banking to right and left, compass (north, south, east and west), speed and direction will be explained to you in detail. Now you will be given some photographs and you are supposed to find out the parameters explained to you. If you can imagine the aircraft in your mind based on those given parameters then it becomes very easy to find out the answer.

APTITUDE TEST:

The aptitude test is a test to find out how well you can coordinate all your senses. In simple term this test is a video game test. You are to play two different video games.

The first game is such that you are supposed to place a ball inside a square wherein the ball is controlled by a joystick and pedals. By moving the ball with the help of your controls you are to place it inside the square for as long as possible. In the mean time you are to respond to lights and sounds that pop up in the monitor by pressing various buttons and levers. This game is for 90 seconds and you get 3 chances and the best score will be considered.

The second test is an even simpler test wherein you are supposed to control the ball and superimpose this ball with many other computer generated balls which move rapidly in the screen. For every ball you place over it you get 1 point. This test is for 60 seconds and 3 chances are given and the best among the three will be taken for consideration of score.

My verdict: that’s all I have to say…go prepared and try to find out the parameters that I have discussed in the first para before hand so that you have an extra advantage. All the best for your PABT.

NO BOND CAN CAN FLY THESE(I MEAN JAMES BOND)

Siddharth January 18, 2011 at 5:55 am

sir is there any written rule that keeps the ssc navy pilots from being selected to fly jets or is it just that no one has done so before?

Reply

Kumar January 18, 2011 at 5:41 pm

there are no written rule but there are some unwritten rules which does not allow ssc pilots to go for fighters…this you will understand only once you join…because the amount of money for training a fighter pilot is in crores …because all fighter pilots in the navy have to get deck landing training in the us and the navy pays a lot of money for their training..it is not wise to spend so much money on a person who will leave the service within a few years
