DRESS CODE FOR LADIES

by Uday Kumar on July 27, 2009

NOW I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE DRESS CODE FOR GIRLS…

1. FOR ALL GROUP TASKS AND GROUP TESTS:

a) WHITE T-SHIRT

b)WHITE SHORTS (IF YOU ARE SLIM AS WELL AS COMFORTABLE IN WEARING THAT…)

C)TRACK PANTS (ANY COLOUR WILL DO…AND IF YOU ARE BULKY/ FAT THEN THIS IS THE BEST OPTION)

d)CARE TO BE TAKEN WHEN DOING GROUP TASKS BECAUSE THE TRACK PANT MAY GET ENTANGLED WITH THE OBSTACLES WHEN YOU WILL BE DOING GROUP
OBSTACLES. MY PERSONAL ADVICE IS TO GO IN SHORTS.

e) I ALSO SUGGEST YOU WEAR TRACK PANT/LOWER OF LESS WEIGHT OR THIN MATERIAL SO THAT YOU DONOT FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE TO RUN/ MOVE AROUND.

2. DRESS CODE FOR INTERVIEWS AND OTHER TESTS:

a) THE DRESS CODE FOR ANY OFFICIAL EVENT IS FORMALS.

b) BY FORMAL I MEAN, LADIES SHIRT AND TROUSERS. IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE THEM THEN, BETTER GIVE TO A GOOD TAILOR BECAUSE NORMAL
TAILORS DONOT KNOW TO MAKE IT. AND THEY MAY SCREW IT UP.

c) YOU MAY EVEN FIND SOME READY MADE BRANDS ALSO SELLING THEM. MAY BE IF YOU SEARCH YOU WILL GET ONE.

d) ANOTHER SIMPLE REMEDY TO THIS IS TO WEAR WELL STITCHED ,DECENT ,SIMPLE SALWAR SUITS.

e) CARE TO BE TAKEN SO THAT IT IS NOT VERY COLOURFUL . A WELL STITCHED SALWAR SUIT WITH OUT ANY DESIGNS WILL BE A VERY GOOD
OPTION PREFERABLY OF SOME COTTON / COTTON MIX MATERIALS.

f) ONE MISTAKE THAT I FOUND AMONG GIRLS IS THAT THEY ARE VERY HESITANT TO SHAKE HANDS . THIS IS A BIG CRITERIA WHICH MANY
INTERVIEWING OFFICERS HAVE AS A MANDATORY CHECK TO FIND OUT THE CONFIDENCE LEVEL OF A LADY.

g) SO IF YOU ARE SHAKING HANDS WITH AN INTERVIEWING OFFICER THEN BETTER IT BE FIRM AND CONFIDENT.

h) IT WOULD BE VERY NICE IF THE LADY GOES FOR THE INTERVIEW WITH A WELL SHAPED EYEBROWS AND IN A WELL PRESENTABLE FASHION.
BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO LEAD THOSE MEN, WHO WILL LOOK UP TO YOU AS A COMMISSIONED OFFICER AND A GREAT PERSON WITH
IMPECCABLE MANNERS.

SO IT IS GOOD THAT ONE OF YOU BROUGHT ABOUT THIS QUESTION BECAUSE OF WHICH I HAVE ANSWERED HERE.DO WELL IN  SSBS AND SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH US BY TYPING ON THE COMMENTS OR BY MAILING TO US AT [email protected]

ALL THE BEST

Hello sir

As mentioned earlier in your blog that, I have applied for different branches (submarine, technical, education and logistics) of Indian navy. Currently I am waiting for the SSB call up interview. If at all I get any call up for any branches specified above and in case got selected, would I be able change to the branch of my choice?

Kumar August 4, 2009 at 10:56 am

no, you may get selected in all the ssbs that u have applied for and then make a choice…but by getting selected in one ssb you can not change over to another… one ssb is for that particular entry only….

Pradeep August 4, 2009 at 11:24 am

But the SSB’s are same irrespective of different entries. I didn’t understand the logic behind this. Anyways thank you very much for that piece of information.

sir,
i have been called for afsb on 11th jan in mysore. I am confident about the whole process but only thing that bothers me is my weight. I am 5.3ft nd weigh 63kgs.I have a very firm body and do not look very lethargic.some doctors said some of it might be bone/muscle weight. sir, do i have chances to get thru?

Reply

Kumar January 14, 2011 at 5:07 am

you very well have chances to get through…no problem if the doctor consider you to have more of bone weight….if you look muscular it is good…you must not be obese…. but let me promise you even if you are obese the academy will make you fit and thin

Respected sir,
I have been shortlisted for navy ssb(technical). Being a girl from rural background i did not get a lot of opportunities. So dont have any extraordinary achievement and dont have v. sound acedemic record also. At other fronts i did very well and at my own. would my grades are going to affect my selection. As i am going for engineering cadre and it requires knowledge which is reflected by good grades and i dont have it.

prachiti, temporary rejection means that you will be given some time to rectify your problem and report within the stipulated time…if you are not able to get well or rectify your problem then it is back to square one..then you are left where you have started

KUMAR April 26, 2012 at 5:00 pm

Dear Adarsh, first of all try to reduce your weight. This can be done by jogging, running, swimming, doing cardio exercises etc. Best exercise that I would suggest anyone is running and swimming. Donot waste money and time in a gym doing weights and other exercises to reduce weight. The day you stop going to the gym you start gaining weight again. So do a lot of running if the weather is cold and do a lot of swimming during the summer, that what I follow. And when ever you run try to run a little longer than what you ran the previous day. Let it be even 50 mtrs extra. Never run lesser than what you ran the previous day.

And regarding books, read Manorma year book, CSR year book, etc. Especially the topics on civics, military, history, general knowledge, indian penal code, etc

Dear Rakhi, No. Your interests in sports will not affect your selection. But being physically fit will affect your selection.
