Indian Air Force – Fast Track Selection (FTS)

Indian Air Force is conducting Fast Track Selection (FTS) for Flying and Ground Duty Branch at Delhi on 14 Sep 2013. IAF will short list men and women for different courses. Successful candidates will go for SSB testing and the finally selected candidates will go Air Force Academy, Hyderabad for training.

Educational Qualifications:

  1. Administration& Logistics: Graduate Degree (Minimum 3 year degree course) in any discipline with a minimum of 60 % marks aggregate or a Post Graduate Degree / equivalent Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks aggregate.
  2. Accounts: Graduate Degree in Commerce (B Com) (Minimum 3 year degree course) with a minimum of 60 % marks aggregate or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M Com) / CA / ICWA with a minimum of 50 % marks aggregate.
  3. Education: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate.

Age : (As on 01 January 2014)

  1. Graduates:  20 to 23 Years. Born between 02 January 1991 to 01 January 1994.
  2. Post Graduates / LLB (Five Years Integrated course): 20 to 25 Years.  Born between 02 January 1989 to 01 January 1994.
  3. For LLB (Three years course after Graduation): 20 to 26 Years. Born between 02 January 1988 to 01 January 1994.
  4. For M Ed / Ph D / CA / ICWA: 20 to 27 Years. Born between 02 January 1987 to 01 January 1994
  5. Meteorology Branch: 20-25 Years. Born between 02 January 1989 to 01 January 1994. Relaxation up to 27 Years ( born between 02 January 1987 to 01 January 1994) for candidates who have completed PhD after completing following educational qualifications:

Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream / Mathematics / Statistics / Geography / Computer Applications / Environmental Science / Applied Physics / Oceanography / Meteorology  / Agricultural  Meteorology  /  Ecology  &  Environment  /  Geo-physics  / Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (Provided  Mathematics  and  Physics  were  studied  at  Graduation  Level,  with  a minimum of 55% marks in both).

Procedure:

  1. On the spot registration will take place between 8AM to 11AM on 14 September 2013 at the venue. Registration Numbers will be allotted and marked on the FTS Admit Card.
  2. Candidates who fail to register their names on the day of registration will not be permitted to appear for selection procedure.
  3. AFCAT: All eligible candidates other than Met Branch will undergo AFCAT. Result of AFCAT will be declared after the test. All successful candidates will then undergo Phase- I Test (Picture Perception and Discussion Test) either on the same day or on subsequent day(s).

Those who qualify the Phase-I will undergo a document check to ascertain eligibility and eligible candidates will be issued call letters for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Varanasi or Gandhinagar. AFCAT will not be conducted for Met Branch and candidate will undergo Phase-I

Required Documents:

  1. Two copies of pre-filled FTS Admit Card (on A4 size paper). Format is given in the official advertisement.
  2. Original certificates & Mark sheets of class X th, class XII th and Graduation.
  3. Proof of identity such as Passport, Driving Licence, Voter Identity Card, College Identity Card etc.
  4. Recent colour passport size photographs.

Note:

  1. In case, any candidate recommended from AFSB centre do not feature in the final merit list for Flying / GDOC Branches then he/she may be considered for other branches on subject to vacancies and eligibility criteria.
  2. Candidates who have failed in PABT at any earlier attempt are not eligible for Flying Branch.
  3. Candidates would need to submit original/ provisional certificates and mark sheets latest by 15 Dec 2013; otherwise the candidature will be cancelled.
  4. Service Personnel (Airmen) are not eligible for FTS.
  5. Candidates should have not have any present backlog.
  6. If any candidate appearing for Flying Branch fails in PABT, he/she will be sent back without further testing.
  7. Candidates who had undergone or are scheduled to undergo AFSB testing for 13 SSC (Men) / 42 SSC (Women) /and 135 GDOC PC (Men) / 28 SSC (Men) & 44 SSC (Women) courses are not eligible to appear for this FTS.
