Indian Navy has issued notification for the Short Service Commission for Dec-2013 courses. Navy has invited applications from unmarried male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Executive Branch (General Services) and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy. The finally selected candidates will undergo training at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.
Duties of a Technical Officer- GS branch
The duty of a Technical Officer in Indian Navy is to keep the naval ships and aircraft fighting fit at all times. Technical officers are responsible for handling state of the art weapons (Gunnery, Missiles and Anti-Submarine) and propulsion system (Gas Turbines, Diesel and Steam Engine). Selected technical officers are given opportunity and are deputed for M.Tech from prestigious institutes like IIT’s.
Duties of an Executive Officer
Executive branch is the operational branch of the Navy. Executive officers are responsible for the command of ships at sea. Executive officers of General Services branch are both ‘working’ and ‘fighting’. They play an important role in Navy and are responsible for managing ship and using the ship for warfare when required. Officers are specialized in Gunnery & Missiles, Torpedo & Anti-Submarine warfare, Navigation & Direction, Communications, Logistics, Hydrography etc.

a) Gender: Only Male candidates are allowed to apply for this entry.
b) Age: 19½ to 25 years

Important Dates for the notified SSC entry:
a) Date of Commencement of Online Application: 06-09-2013
b) Last Date Of Online Submission of Application: 17-09-2013
c) Last Date Of Receipt of Online Application: 01-10-2013
How to apply:
a) Only Online application (e-application) is permitted for the entry.
b) First of all, candidates have to submit the online application on www.nausena-bharti.nic.in
c) In the website, candidates have to click on the ‘Officer Entry’ button under the option ‘Apply Online’ on the home page.
d) Now fill the required fields in the online registration form.
e) After filling all the fields, check whether all the details are entered correctly in the form. After checking the form click the submit button.
f) After submission of the form an ‘Application Number’ will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
g) The application number will automatically appear on the print out of the form.
h) Then print 2 copies of the online application form bearing the application number.
i) Candidates are then required to send one copy of the printed application to Post Box No.4, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi along with attested photo copies of 10th & 12th class, Graduation certificates, and marksheets. Make sure that you have signed it and self-attested photograph is pasted on it. Another copy of the printout is to be carried by the candidate while appearing for the SSB interview.
j) Applications are to be sent only by ordinary post. Speed post, courier and registered post will not be accepted. A superscription is to be made on envelope:

Note:
a) Preference will be to the candidates with NCC ‘C’ Certificate.
b) Candidates who are educationally eligible for more than one entry should fill up only one application form and mention the priority of the branches.
c) Candidates not qualified or appearing in final exam are not eligible to apply.
d) Technical branch candidates can also be appointed as Air Technical Officers by IHQ MoD (Navy).

sir, i applied for ssc ( log) navy in 2012…but i didnt get any reply from there….i applied through online and after that i send my all documents to new delhi post….i got 70% mark in eco.. now i expect for the call up notification for ssc log in 2013 oct ends… i would like to apply for that . so what all requirements are necessary for ssc log in navy…. at any cost i want to attend that interview because iam so much passion about that service….
