TIPS ON PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTS

PSYCHOLOGICAL TES

Psychological test is one of the most important factors in the selection process in SSB. As the name goes psychological test is aimed at determining the actual qualities of a person. As we all know that the true self of a person is revealed when he undergoes a strenuous situation or when he is on a crisis…the principle employed in SSB is to put a person under extreme pressure situations and ask him what he thinks with out giving him much time to alter his original feelings. for example a picture of a road accident may be shown and he is to write a story with in 30sec or 45sec in 100 words.

A person with good and positive qualities may write a story that, in the scene of accident some boy was standing firstly but now  he is running towards the scene to help the victims then rushes them to hospital

blah blah blah….

But a guy with negative qualities may write that a person was driving the car so fast that he accidently runs over a naughty babyand now he is quarelling with the baby’s mother for leaving the child to play in the road…blah blaah blah…

So it is for you to be the doer of good things and heroic things. You are supposed to reveal all the good qualities which you have through these stories…

we shall see how to attend the situation reaction tests and picture perception tests very soon…

you can not fully change a persons psychology but to some extent you can control it…you donot behave the same way in a temple as you behave in a movie theatre or a disco..that is because of conscious effort to keep a check on your attitude

Sir,

I was not able to get full white t shirt and shorts..
1. In my T shirt there is a small logo in chest portion. Is it a problem?
2. In sorts there is a wording ‘FETCH JEANS”‘ near left thigh… Is this acceptable?
3. Shoe should be white canvas or white sports shoe?

Please clarify me.

Don’t be tempted to wear normal jeans – they won’t
last two seconds if you hit the tarmac. This page gives practical
information about the process. Learning to drive is one
of the biggest achievements a person can reach in their life,
but also one of the most daunting.

Hi Uday,

I had attended SSB for airforce in mysore, everything was going great I cleared PPDT, but on the second day at one point of time i got stuck in GD, everybody was shouting on the top of their voice and even if i was trying to say something I was not able to do that. Sir please tell me what to do in this case? Even for my next ssb I am scared of this type of situation.

Thanks & Regards,
Swati Chauhan

Every time you go you will have to face such situation during GD so the best option is keep your cool n wait for right time shouting is not important giving strong points is important. You must have noticed there is a time when everyone is shouting and at one point no one will be speaking anything grab that opportunity and keep your point.

Aradhana Sen June 15, 2014 at 1:13 pm

Sir I have attended ssb twice and will be going for the third time. After self introspection what I found that both time I screwed up in my Interview . I could not give proper answer of any of the rapid fire questions . Sir is there any way that I could handle this part properly.
